Q. I want to put on a comedy show at your space. How do I do that?
A. We usually do a standard door split with shows that are $10-$25 / ticket. You can submit your show on our site – https://coldtownetheater.com/submissions-auditions/. However, you may want to take 100% of the box off and charge whatever you want. For that arrangement, you can rent the venue.
Q. How many people can you accommodate?
A. Our Main Theater can hold up to 75 people seated and our Cabaret can hold about 50 people. We have smaller rooms and large outdoor space available as well.
Q. I’m a ColdTowne student or graduate. Can I rent rehearsal space at a discount?
A. If your show is on the ColdTowne performance schedule, then yes! Depending on your show, you should have access to our discounted rooms.

Q. What kind of events can you accommodate?
A. Live performances, film screenings, panels, talkbacks, presentations, receptions, and parties just to name a few.
Q. So, How much?
A. $150 – $350 / hour depending on all the variables involved:
- Time of day (Morning-$, Afternoon-$$ Night-$$$)
- Day of the Week (Mon/Tue/Wed-$, Thur/Sun-$$, Fri/Sat-$$$)
- Month of the Year: (Summer/Winter-$, Spring/Fall-$$, SxSw/Holiday Season- $$$)
- Reason for gathering (Rehearsals/Readings- $, Filming/Screenings/Performances- $$, Parties/Festivals/Conferences-$$$)
- Service staff needed: (Video Projection / Lights&Sound / Bartender / Box Office)

Q. Can I book a room to use as an ongoing rental for a specific day and time?
A. We produce over 100 shows / month and offer a wide variety of classes 7 nights / week, so it’s unlikely we’ll be able to accommodate an ongoing rental, unless it is a weekday afternoon.
Q. My theater company is looking for a space to rehearse for 3 or more weeks for 3 hours / night, 4 or 5 nights / week. Can you accommodate that?
A. We love plays. We love the theatre. No. No we can’t.
