Q. What are your rental rates?
A. Cost per room ranges from $150 – $300 / hour depending on your needs and the time of day. Certain seasonal rates may apply. Additional facilities fees and deposits may apply. Discounts are available for active ColdTowne students and performers for shows on ColdTowne’s performance schedule.
Q. How many people can you accommodate?
A. Our Main Theater can hold 65 people and our Cabaret can hold about 50 people. We have smaller rooms and large outdoor space available as well.
Q. I’m a ColdTowne student or graduate. Can I rent rehearsal space at a discount?
A. If your show is on the ColdTowne performance schedule, then yes! Depending on your show, you should have access to our discounted rooms. Email the A.D.
Q. What kind of events can you accommodate?
A. Live performances, film screenings, panels, talkbacks, presentations, receptions, and parties just to name a few.
Q. Can I put on a show at your theater?
A. Yes! We have a
show submissions page for all kinds of comedy performances. These shows are booked as a door split with the theater and the show-runner. If you have specific dates in mind and want to gross 100% of your box office, then you’ll need to rent the theater.
Q. Can I teach a class at your theater?
A. All class queries should be sent to conservatory@coldtownetheater.com
Q. Can my organization partner with ColdTowne for a free event?
A. We love to partner with non-profits and community based initiatives. Please reach out to coldtownevenue@gmail.com to share your vision and needs. Pro tip: knowing an exact day and time of your event will help us facilitate your goals more efficiently.
Q. Can I book a room to use as an ongoing rental for a specific day and time?
A. We produce over 100 shows / month and offer a wide variety of classes 7 nights / week, so it’s unlikely we’ll be able to accommodate an ongoing rental.
Q. My theater company is looking for a space to rehearse for 3 or more weeks for 3 hours / night, 4 or 5 nights / week. Can you accommodate that?
A. We love plays. We love the theatre. No. No we can’t.
