Adam Protextor

Adam Protextor is a director, producer, rapper, improviser, and performer. He’s a founding member of the ColdTowne house team Hunnicut, has starred in ColdTowne productions Bigfoot: The Musical and Secret Mountain (for which he won the 2018 ColdTony Award for Best Sketch Writing), and has performed at Edinburgh Fringe Fest, Out of Bounds, Austin Sketch Fest, Sound on Sound Fest, and Fun Fun Fun Fest. He is the co-founder of the award-winning Austin Mic Exchange (2012-2017), Austin’s longest-running live hip hop event, and his most recent LP, American Neon, was produced by Grammy-winner Matt Puckett, featured CupcakKe and Melat, and was released to critical acclaim. He is also one half of the Austin-based production house Baby Lion Studios, where he hosts the talk/gaming show RPG: Rappers Playing Games and co-hosts the 360 pop culture variety show Slumber Party Club with Stephanie Thoreson and Jonah Yohana. He is currently working on a new Baby Lion narrative webseries, a new Protextor and Brother Bear album, producing the ColdTowne mainstage Fishbowl, and petting his dog as much as possible.
