We love Proctor, our showcase for all the mind-blowingly sweet improv and sketch comedy coming out of ColdTowne -- but even we have to admit that it's not really very scary.

So throughout October, Proctor is being sponsored by the Mansion of Terror, Austin's most horrifying haunted house. It's much scarier than the scariest ColdTowne shows, even when Chris Trew is playing.

But we're doing our part too! Every Proctor in October will feature the improv format known as The Bat, an improv show performed entirely in the dark. It's like listening to an old radio play, or I guess for anyone under the age of sixty it's like listening to an audiobook or a podcast or something. Anyway, it's fun as hell, and it's happening every Friday in October.

Tonight, the demented sketch mavens of The P! Company host ColdTowne Conservatory poobahs The Faculty,' the two-man improv luge team Girltrap, and a Bat performed by house troupe Unfurled.
