The Goldbergs appear at 8:00p during see with Studio8.net and McNichol and May.
The Goldbergs are two members: Ruth Bader Goldberg and Sasha Finkle Goldberg. They are sisters-in-law. They grew up in Dallas together, best friends always, and then went to Pepperdine University in 1988. There, they first got into the beach scene, creating a number-one Malibu beach hit, "Sun Is In The Sky." After the death of a close friend, they left beach music for grunge and released their first full album, Whatever. It was relatively successful in the underground, though there was never a radio hit or MTV play. The grunge scene, however, was dying. The Goldbergs wanted to move on to a different type of music. They moved to Los Angeles, where they became slight knowns in the gangsta rap scene. They then moved to Austin to build the scene there.
Too much partying, however, led to a stint away from music. Their rap album, Da Goldbergs, fizzled away off the charts and their rap career was over, though they still maintain friendships with many of the key players. It was not until the 1997 death of Jeff Buckley that The Goldbergs were inspired to write new music. They began working the singer-songwriter circuit. Since then, they have also been inspired by experimental and radio pop music. They hope to take their own music in a new direction and possibly get involved in the London dubstep scene.
