Phil Aulie's Ukulele appears at 10:00p during hear with Little Stolen Moments, The Fred and Joel Show, Tom Booker and Aw Shit.
Phil Aulie's Ukulele began in 2006 when Phil Aulie was handed a ukulele and began to write ridiculously simple songs on it. His debut album For The World sold 30 copies at gigs in two different Austin venues. His defining moment was on a tour to Santa Fe, NM where he played at a college. Phil Aulie soon became very busy playing the ukulele and the keyboard in a now-famous rock band, SuperHouse.
A Phil Aulie's Ukulele show is always amazing. Not only will Phil tear through a solid set of his self-written instant classics, he will also improvise a song based on an audience suggestion or an interview with an audience member. Improvisation is the strong basis for most of Phil's songs, as Phil often remembers his own lyrics in a slightly fuzzy way. Please come prepared for songs that explore current events, the darker side of life, masturbation, and the handicapped.
