The ColdTowne Conservatory is Austin's premier long-form improv and sketch comedy training center. Our instructors include the members of ColdTowne and the Frank Mills and have taught and performed at some of the most respected comedy institutions in North America. TKO Open Mic Sketch Show Thursday!
If we had a nickel for every time somebody confused ColdTowne Theater for a boxing gym, we'd have exactly $.15. If you're counting, that's exactly three times. And because we're starving artist types, we need to open up revenue streams anyway we can. To that end, we've created another show with a boxing themed title--TKO--to get more shiny nickles. Mike Tyson's Punch-out aficionados will know that TKO stands for a Technical Knock-Out. As in, "Technically speaking, this show has nothing to do with boxing." Instead, every second Thursday of the month at 10pm, ColdTowne Theater's finest comedians will join Austin area stand ups and lord-knows-who-else-shows-up-off-the-street for a night of scripted mayhem. The best part? Only $5!

The ColdTowne Theater is Austin's main stage for alternative comedy. We currently have shows Thursday through Saturday featuring the smartest, brightest, and hardest-working comedians in Central Texas. We also run a conservatory offering education in improv and sketch comedy.
